This crumbly topping is especially satisfying in the cooler months. Simple enough to whip up with whatever you have on hand, it offers a crunchy contrast to our tender muffins. Use with any of our freshly milled baking mixes for a festive touch.
- 1/4 cup flour of choice — e.g. almond, oat, buckwheat, gf all purpose
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar of choice — e.g. maple, coconut or turbinado sugar
- 2 tbsp pumpkin seeds or chopped nuts
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- pinch of salt
- 1.5 tsp milk of choice
Mix all ingredients together. Sprinkle over batter prior to baking.
